This Privacy Policy explains what information PreferMarket collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We're built non-custodial by design — we collect the minimum we need to operate the platform, comply with law, and keep you safe.

You provide:

• Email address (for account access and notifications)
• Wallet address(es) you choose to connect
• Optional profile details (display name, avatar)
• Messages you send to support

Automatically collected:

• Device & browser information (user agent, screen size)
• Approximate location (derived from IP, country-level)
• Usage analytics (pages visited, features used)
• On-chain transaction data linked to your connected wallet (public by nature)

• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service
• To process deposits, withdrawals, and market settlements
• To verify eligibility and prevent fraud, abuse, or sanctions violations
• To send transactional emails (sign-in codes, payout confirmations)
• To respond to your support requests
• To comply with legal obligations and lawful requests

PreferMarket does not collect government IDs, social security numbers, or financial account details. Sign-in is email-only or wallet-only. We rely on on-chain settlement and sanctions screening rather than identity collection. This may limit availability in jurisdictions that mandate KYC for prediction-market activity.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers who help us operate (email delivery, analytics, error monitoring), bound by data-protection agreements
• Blockchain networks, where on-chain transactions are inherently public
• Legal authorities, when required by valid subpoena, court order, or sanctions enforcement
• Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

We use a small number of first-party cookies for session management and to remember your preferences. We use privacy-respecting analytics (no third-party advertising trackers). You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may stop working.

We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, and routine security audits of our smart contracts.

No system is 100% secure. Your wallet keys remain yours — we cannot access funds in a self-custodial wallet. Protect your seed phrase; we will never ask for it.

We retain account information for as long as your account is open, plus the period required by tax, anti-money-laundering, and other legal obligations (typically 5–7 years). Support transcripts are retained for 2 years. You may request earlier deletion subject to legal hold requirements.

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data (subject to legal hold)
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for optional processing at any time

The Service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

PreferMarket is headquartered in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards where required.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
